The population of Canazei in Val di Fassa<\/strong> is part of the Ladin language group. Testimonials of the Ladin origins and traditions are still visible in the architecture and folk customs, and in the Ladin language<\/strong> commonly spoken, studied in primary and secondary school, official language certified by a specific language license.<\/p>\n

The ladin origins of Canazei<\/strong> are also found in many events, such as the one which takes place in July: “Te anter i tobi\u00e8” during which the typical barns are open to the public to rediscover the crafts of the past, or in August, the \u201cGran Festa da d\u2019Ist\u00e0”, a very exciting celebration in which the whole population takes part wearing local costumes.<\/p>\n
